All the experimental platforms at the ARL are built with ControlShell and NDDS. In addition, there are several outside users, including two NASA centers, industry (Loral, Lockheed), and private research institutions (MBARI).
Through our unique partnership with Real-Time Innovations, Inc. (RTI), we are developing ControlShell and NDDS into commercial products. RTI has already successfully commercialized a data visualization tool developed in the ARL known as StethoScope, it has been installed at over 100 sites. Making these advanced architecture products available in the marketplace will directly impact our country's industrial base, both by increasing productivity and by greatly accelerating the technology transfer of our other research results.
